The next drop off / pick up date for student work will be Monday, May 18 from 10:00 am - 6:00 pm.
New printed work packets will be available for all PreK, Kindergarten, 1st and 2nd graders to pick up. Printed work packets will ONLY be available for 3rd, 4th, and 5th graders who request printed packets by Friday, May 15. Most 3-5 students should get their assignments digitally on their iPads through the Canvas program.
New work packets will cover May 18 - 29. There will be no work assigned for May 25 due to the Memorial Day holiday.
Students may return their completed work packets from May 5 - May 15 during this time.
Staff will be available at the curb at the front of the school to take your completed work and deliver your new work packets. Please do not exit your car.
Free Meals will be available for students on Monday throughout the distributions time (10:00-6:00).
There will be NO remote work assignments and NO meal pickups or deliveries on Monday, May 25 in recognition of the Memorial Day holiday.
As we look toward the final day of school on June 11, be aware that there will be one more remote work distribution scheduled for Monday, June 1. The date to turn in iPads has not been finalized, but will likely be during the final week of school. We will make an announcement about the actual iPad turn in date at a later time.
Food Service Update: Free food pickup will be available through June 30. Unfortunately, we will no longer be able to offer food delivery after June 11, the last day of school for this school year. Beginning June 12, there will be six schools throughout our district that members of our community can visit and continue to pick up meals through June 30. East Rutherford Middle, Ellenboro Elementary, Forrest Hunt Elementary, Harris Elementary, Mt. Vernon-Ruth Elementary School, and Spindale Elementary will continue to offer meal pick-up from 10:00 am until 1:00 pm Monday through Friday. Remember that this service is provided to any child ages 0 - 18. You are encouraged to take advantage of this opportunity. After June 30 the remote food service program will no longer be offered by Rutherford County Schools in order for us to assess the most current guidance from state and local officials. If we are able to offer this service again to our community, this information will be shared at a later date. Kindergarten Registration is open NOW. Stop by the school M-F between 8:00-3:30 to pick up and turn in a Kindergarten Registration Packet.
Yearbooks are on sale for $15 each. You may turn in your money anytime the school is open. We will give you the yearbook when you make the payment.
