There are three field trips this week:
Tuesday, May 2 - Kindergarten to KidSenses
Wednesday, May 3 - 1st Grade to Greenville Zoo
Wednesday, May 3 - 5th Grade to Hickory Crawdads baseball game
Tickets are on sale now for the "Denim and Diamonds" PTO Mother-Son event. Tickets are $3 per boy. Boys are invited to bring their mom, grandmother, aunt, or other special female. The event is at FC-Dunbar on Thursday, May 11 from 5:30-7:30.
The last day for the Young Scholars After School program for this school year will be Wednesday, May 10.
The Leader of the Pack 5K is this Saturday, May 6 at 8:30 at McNair Field in Forest City. This is the event the Running Club members have been preparing for. Come out and cheer them on!
Each year we ask parents/guardians to complete a survey to give us feedback on our implementation of the Leader in Me. These questions cover a range of topics that will help us understand what we are doing well and what we need to improve on. Please take the time to complete the survey linked below. Yearbooks are on sale now for $15 each. They will be delivered in late May. We have ordered a limited number. Yearbook sales are on a first come, first serve basis. So, order yours soon!
Kindergarten Registration for the 2023-24 school year is now open. If your child turns 5 by August 30, 2023, he/she is eligible to start kindergarten next school year. Stop by the school during regular school hours to pick up a Kindergarten Registration packet. Please spread the word to anyone you know with a child who is eligible to start kindergarten next year.
