Third, fourth, and fifth graders will take the NC Checkin assessment in Reading on Tuesday, April 18 and the Math test on Thursday, April 20. These tests help teachers to know what students know and what they still need to work on as we get close to End of Grade testing time.
Students will be allowed to purchase an Icee from the Serendipity Snowballs truck Friday, April 21 beginning at 12:45. Icees are $2 each. Students are asked to pay and make their choice of flavor before Friday, April 21. Icee flavor choices are Tiger's Blood, Blue Raspberry, Sour Apple or Grape. Please send money with your child before Friday!
Yearbooks are on sale now for $15 each. They will be delivered in late May. We have ordered a limited number. Yearbook sales are on a first come, first serve basis. So, order yours soon!
Kindergarten Registration for the 2023-24 school year is now open. If your child turns 5 by August 30, 2023, he/she is eligible to start kindergarten next school year. Stop by the school during regular school hours to pick up a Kindergarten Registration packet. Please spread the word to anyone you know with a child who is eligible to start kindergarten next year. Kindergarten Orientation is scheduled for April 27 from 4:00-6:00 at Forest City - Dunbar.
