There will be no school this Friday, November 11 due to the Veterans Day holiday.
In order for your child's absence to be excused, you must communicate the reason for their absence to your child's teacher or the office through a note, phone call, or digital message (text or ClassDojo message). Reasons for excusable absences include:
Illness or injury
Quarantine
Death in the immediate family
Medical or dental appointment
Court proceeding involving the student
Religious observance (up to 2 absences)
Educational opportunity (with principal's prior approval)
Parents/guardians will receive a letter informing you of unexcused absences once your child receives 5, 7 or 10 unexcused absences.
Any absences for illness beyond a total of 10 days (excused or unexcused) requires a note from a doctor to be considered excused.
