The Young Scholars after school program continues on Monday, October 10. However, there will be no Young Scholars after school program this Thursday, October 13 due to a faculty meeting.
Atrium Health is hosting a Second Harvest Food Bank distribution on Tuesday, October 11 from 5:00-6:00. FREE produce, meat, and dairy items will be distributed to families who come. This is open to anyone in the community. This is a drive-thru pickup event in the front parking area at Forest City - Dunbar. FCD staff will be there to help pass out food.
Report cards for the first grading period will go home this Thursday, October 13.
Students will be allowed to purchase an Icee from the Serendipity Snowballs truck Friday, October 14 beginning at 12:45. Icees are $2 each. Students are asked to pay and make their choice of flavor before Friday, October 14. Icee flavor choices are Tiger's Blood, Blue Raspberry, Sour Apple or Grape. Please send money with your child before Friday!
PTO is asking for your help during the annual Krispy Kreme fundraiser. A box of a dozen doughnuts or a gift certificate for a box of a dozen are being sold for $7 each. We will send home order forms this week. The fundraiser will be October 10 - 17. Orders can be picked up at the school on Thursday, October 20. Keep in mind that an adult must come pick up doughnut orders; we will not be sending them with students. Thank you in advance for your support of our PTO.
