Kindergarten Registration for the 2022-23 school year is open. Children who turn 5 years old on or before August 31, 2022 are eligible to enroll in kindergarten for next school year. Parents and guardians can stop by the school during regular school hours to pick up a kindergarten registration packet.
Kindergarten Orientation will be at FC-Dunbar on Thursday, April 28 from 4:00-6:00. This will be an opportunity for next year's kindergartner's to see the school, meet the teachers, ride a school bus, and learn more about what to expect when they start school. Parents will be given information about our school, expectations for their child as they begin kindergarten, and ways they can make sure students will be prepared to start school.
There will be NO Young Scholars after school program this Thursday, April 28 due to Kindergarten Orientation.
4th Graders will take a field trip to Discovery Place in Charlotte on Monday, April 25. Please be aware that they will return after regular dismissal time. Parents/guardians should plan to pick up 4th graders returning from the trip at 5:45 pm.
The Leader of the Pack 5k is Back! This event will be held May 14, 2022 at 8:00AM at McNair Field, Forest City. The cost to run in the 5K is $25 for Adults and $10 for student/child. Register by May 2 and receive a LOTP5k 2022 t-shirt!
