Mid-year MAP Testing will take place this week for grades K-5 on Tuesday, December 7 and Wednesday, December 8. MAP tests assess students progress on Reading and Math skills.
There will be No Young Scholars after school program on Thursday, December 9 due to a scheduled faculty meeting.
2nd grade, 5th grade, and Mrs. Nappers class will attend the performance of the "Nutcracker" at the ICC Foundation on Friday, December 10 at 9:30.
Students will be allowed to purchase an Icee from the Serendipity Snowballs truck this Friday, December 10 beginning at 12:45. Icees are $2 each. Students are asked to pay and make their choice of flavor before Friday, December 10. Icee flavor choices are Tiger's Blood, Blue Raspberry, Sour Apple or Grape. Please send money with your child before Friday!
Friday, December 10 will be Grinch Day. We will have Grinch themed activities in classrooms throughout the day. Students are encouraged to wear green or their favorite Grinch attire on Friday.
Rutherford County Schools is currently under "mask-optional" guidelines. Students, staff and visitors are able to choose whether or not they would like to wear a face mask while in the school building. However, face masks are still REQUIRED to be worn by everyone riding school buses and activity buses. We encourage bus riders to bring their own face mask if possible. Despite the change in mask requirements, we still must follow NC DHHS and local health department guidelines for excluding individuals who are exposed to COVID-19 positive individuals within the school environment.
