3rd, 4th, and 5th graders will take NC Checkin tests on Tuesday, November 2 and Wednesday, November 3. These are multiple choice tests on standards in Reading, Math, and Science (5th only) that have been taught so far this year. The results will help us to better understand what your child knows well and what they still need to work on.
There will be NO Young Scholars after-school program this Thursday, November 4 due to a scheduled faculty meeting.
First grade is learning how to be good community members. One way we can do this is by helping those who are in need. First grade is collecting items for the Grace of God Rescue Mission in Forest City. Now through Friday, November 5th, they are asking for donations of the following items: toothpaste, toothbrushes, soap, washcloths, shampoo, conditioner, deodorant, combs/brushes, socks, gloves, individual snack items (crackers, Little Debbie snack cakes, granola bars, chips, juice boxes).
Rutherford County Schools is collecting donations for Toys for Tots to help children in need this holiday season. Donations of $1 will get your child's name on a Toys for Tots cut-out train displayed in the front office.
