Due to a delayed start, the Book Fair will be extended two additional days. The Book Fair will be open on Monday, September 13 and Tuesday, September 14. Students who bring money will have the opportunity to make purchases from the Book Fair those days.
Due to periodic staffing shortages in the cafeteria, there may have to be adjustments in the posted menus. The School Nutrition Team intends to serve everything on the menu that is posted, but it might be necessary to adjust and potentially reduce options on occasion based on the availability of employees.
As a year-round school, our first intersession break is quickly approaching. There will be NO regular school for students during the Intersession Break from Tuesday, September 21 - Monday, October 11. Students will return to begin the second 9-week grading period on Tuesday, October 12.
The last day of the first grading period will be Monday, September 20. Report cards for the first grading period will be sent home after the intersession break on Thursday, October 14.
Current Young Scholars students have been invited to attend the Young Scholars Intersession program that will operate Wednesday, September 22 through Friday, October 1. The Young Scholars Intersession Program operates from 8:30-12:30 daily. If there are available spaces, other students will be invited to attend. Current Young Scholars students should return the sign-up form sent home last week to attend the Intersession program. Please contact the school if your child is NOT currently in Young Scholars, but would like for them to be placed on a waiting list to attend the Intersession program.
Kindergarten is continuing to celebrate "Color Days." Kindergarten students can wear clothing that is the color of the day on those designated days. This is for Kindergarten students only. Click the link below for the list of Kindergarten Color Days.
