Our Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) will have their first meeting of the new year on Tuesday, August 17 at 5:30 in the Music Room at Forest City - Dunbar. They will discuss plans for this school year. All parents are welcome to attend if you are interested in working with our PTO or if you just want to find out more about what the PTO has to offer.
Please be aware that our school continues to be required to follow the guidance of the Rutherford County Health Department when responding to COVID-19 exposures and symptomatic cases. Please let us know of any household or community exposures to COVID-19 that effect your child or any symptoms of COVID-19 your child may be experiencing. List of possible COVID-19 symptoms that will lead to exclusion from school:

- Fever – 100.4 degrees or higher
- Sore throat
- Cough (for people with chronic cough due to allergies or asthma, a change in their cough from baseline)
- Difficulty breathing (for people with asthma, a change from their baseline breathing)
- New loss of taste or smell
- Diarrhea or vomiting
- New onset of severe headache, especially with a fever
