Announcements July 26-30, 2021

Students will again have the opportunity to take an assigned iPad home this year.  The iPad can be used to access electronic learning and homework, as well as extended learning activities through apps and other online resources.  Different this year is that a $20 technology fee is required per child.  This fee can be paid in a $10 payment per semester. Students who do not pay the technology fee will be day users only. Families with financial hardships may request a fee waiver from the school’s principal.  This fee should be paid no later than Monday, August 9.

Please be aware that students now able to choose between food options for both breakfast and lunch.  Encourage your child to review the school menu each day.

Looking ahead, due to a community event that will be hosted at FC-Dunbar, next Friday August 6 will be an early dismissal day for students.  Students will be dismissed August 6 at 12:00.

Friday, August 6 will be individual picture day for students.  All students pictures will be made that day.  These pictures will be used for our yearbook.  Look for order forms to be sent home this week.

Dismissal reminders:  We ask parents who come to pick your child up as a car rider remain in the car line rather than coming to the office to check them out or coming to the gym door to pick up children.  We will do our best to get your child safely out to your car in the line as soon as possible.  We do not officially dismiss until 3:15 pm.  We begin calling car riders once our car rider students arrive to the gym for dismissal.  Thank you for your patience.

The official school day begins at 8:15 am and ends at 3:15 pm.  We have scheduled learning and important activities for the entire school day.  While we understand that there will be occasions when students will have to be tardy or checked out early, we ask that you do your best to have students be present throughout the entire school day as much as possible.  If you have particular needs that create hardships with our schedule, please contact Principal Brad Richardson to discuss your concerns.

All visitors are required to check in at the office and receive a visitor's pass to visit anywhere beyond the front office.  Visitors will be asked to present their driver's license or other form of state ID when visiting or checking out students.  Also, please park in a marked parking space anytime you visit our school.

Please let us know of any questions you have about school procedures and policies.  We appreciate your feedback.
