Monday, February 22 is a Teacher Workday / Remote Learning Day for all students. Students will have independent assignments to complete on Monday. Teachers are not required to offer Zoom instruction. Student work will be graded. Student attendance will be taken through either a contact made with the teacher or the submission of assignments.
There will be NO Young Scholars after-school program on Monday (Remote or Face-to-Face) since it is a Teacher Workday. However, students served by regular day (8:15-3:15) Young Scholars tutors will have the opportunity for remote help on Monday during regular school hours.
We will hold a Black History Month celebration program this Friday, February 26 at 12:00 via Zoom. The guest speaker for this event will be Ramon Reed. Ramon Reed is a young man who has played young Simba on the Broadway production of the Lion King, and currently plays the role of Owen Blatt on Disney's hit show "Just Roll With It." Ramon Reed will be joining us live at via Zoom. Your child's teacher will share the Zoom link to the Black History Month celebration through Canvas. We hope all of our students will be able to join us. We do plan to record this celebration in case students who are remote are unable to attend at 12:00 on Friday.
