2nd grade has been working on writing persuasive letters. Students wrote letters to the principals making special requests. Amina Watkins wrote a convincing letter asking for a jeans day and Mackenzie Garcia asked for a hat day. We will have a day of each for both cohorts to be able to participate this week.
Monday, Feb 8 and Thursday, Feb 11 will be Jeans Days. Students can wear jeans and a non-uniform shirt those days.
Tuesday, Feb 9 and Friday, Feb 12 will be Hat Days. Students can wear a hat all day in the school building. They should wear their regular uniform clothes on hat days.

The calendar for next school year 2021-2022 has been approved by the Rutherford County Board of Education. FC-Dunbar returns to a "year-round" calendar next year, with the first day of school being July 19, 2021.
