We will begin MAP (Measures of Academic Progress) benchmark testing this week for all grades. Students will be tested in Reading and Math. All MAP tests must be taken face-to-face at the school. Face-to-face and Remote Only 3rd graders are required to take the MAP test to meet Read to Achieve guidelines for 3rd grade. Other Remote Only classes may schedule testing for their students as well. Parents of Remote only students will be contacted by your child's teacher to schedule a time to come in to test if they plan to do so. Please note that some Remote classes may not be MAP testing.
Make up pictures will be scheduled for Wednesday, February 3 from 1:00-3:00. This is for students who were not able to have their picture made on December 2. Students wishing to have their picture made should enter at the gym entrance. Anyone entering the building (student or parent) must pass COVID screener questions and have their temperature taken. Everyone must wear a cloth face mask during their time at school (it can be removed for the picture).
Third Grade parents are invited to attend a Zoom meeting on Wednesday, February 3 at 2:30 to learn more about Read to Achieve guidelines for your child. Third graders are required to meet certain benchmarks on reading assessments to earn promotion to the 4th grade. This Zoom meeting will explain these expectations and answer any questions you may have. Your child's teacher will share the Zoom link with you before the meeting.
