Monday, October 26 is a scheduled district-wide professional development day for teachers. Students will NOT physically attend school this Monday. However, this will be a Remote Learning day for ALL students. Students will have independent assignments to complete. Attendance will be taken either by contacts (phone, text, email) made with your child's teacher or the submission of completed assignments for Monday. Assignments may be submitted either electronically or turned in when students return on Tuesday. Teachers will not be conducting Zoom lessons on Monday and there will be no specials classes.
This week is Red Ribbon Week. We celebrate being drug free by having specially themed days and lessons this week. Students who participate do not have to wear their uniform on these days:
Tuesday, October 27 - "Give Drugs the Boot" Wear your favorite pair of boots and/or RED clothes.
Wednesday, October 28 - "Team Up Against Drugs" Wear your favorite team attire.
Thursday, October 29 - "From our head to our toes, we are opposed to drugs." Wear a crazy hat and/or crazy socks
Friday, October 30 - "Stay Classy, Stay Drug Free" Wear your fancy clothes (also Picture Day)
School Picture Day is this Friday, October 30. All Face-to-Face PreK - 5th graders will have their pictures made that morning. Remote only students may have their picture made between 11:30-1:30 that day. Remote only students should enter at the GYM ENTRANCE to have their picture made. Anyone who enters the building (children and parents) must answer screening questions and have their temperature taken. Adults and students who come to school should wear a cloth face covering and observe 6 feet social distancing while visiting. Students can remove their masks when they are having their picture made. Pictures made on Friday will be used for our Yearbook, so we encourage everyone to come whether you plan to purchase pictures or not.
The MONEY and ORDER FORMS for the Krispy Kreme Doughnut sale to support our PTO are due Tuesday, October 27. Doughnut order pickup on Thursday, October 29 will be between 8am-1pm and 2:30-3pm. This will be done as a curbside pickup at the gym entrance area. You do not have to enter the building to pick up your order. Doughnut orders can NOT be sent home with students. Please plan to pick up your orders on Thursday!
