Measures of Academic Progress (MAP) assessments will be administered to all K-5 students this week. Our district conducts MAP testing in Reading and Math 3 times per year to determine student performance and progress on grade level standards. This will be for Face-To-Face students only. Remote Only students will NOT take MAP tests at this time.
Please note there will be no kindergarten, 2nd grade, or 5th grade specials classes (face-to-face or remote) during the morning hours of the MAP testing dates. Specials teachers will be responsible for assisting with testing that morning.
Reading MAP Testing will be Tuesday, October 20
Math MAP Testing will be Thursday, October 22
Clarification regarding the October 26 Teacher Workday: While students will not physically attend school on Monday, October 26 due to a district-wide Professional Development Day for teachers, this will be considered a Remote Learning Day for students. Students in both the Face-to-Face and Remote only classes will be given independent assignments to complete for that day. In order to be counted present, students must complete and submit their assigned work either electronically or when they return to school the next day. Parents can also text the homeroom teacher to count for daily attendance on October 26. Student work assigned will be expected to be completed for grading purposes. There will be no Zoom lessons, including no Specials classes on October 26.
