Registration for kindergarten for the 2020-2021 school year is open. Stop by the school M-F 8:00-3:30 to pick up and turn in your registration packet. Just call the school at (828)245-4978 when you arrive and a staff member will bring the packet out to your car.
Children must be 5 years old by August 31, 2020 to be eligible for enrollment.
We will need a copy of your child’s birth certificate to complete the registration, so please bring that with you when you come. We also ask for a copy of their social security card and proof of residency. We will also need a copy of your child’s shot records and health assessment form completed by your child’s doctor.
If you do not live in the Forest City - Dunbar district, but would like for your child to attend here, please call the County Office at (828)288-2200 to request a transfer form.
If you know of a child who will be eligible for kindergarten next year, please pass this message along to their parents.
