Announcements April 20 - 24, 2020

Remote learning will continue this week.  Students should be working on assignments for Week 3 at this point.  Teachers will resume contacting their students to provide instructional support on Monday.

Completed paper assignments from Weeks 1 and 2 may be turned in at the school on Tuesday, April 21 between 8:00am-3:30pm.  These are primarily for Kindergarten, 1st and 2nd graders who were given printed work packets.  However, there may be some 3-5 students who have received printed packets that may be turned in as well.  When you come to turn in your work packets:

-Drop off will be in the glass lobby area at the front entrance.
-Completed work should be in the manilla envelope that assignments were distributed in.
-If you do not have that envelope, please be sure the work is secured together with your child's name on it.
-There will be blue bins with grade level labels in the glass lobby.  Place your child's work packet in the correct grade level bin.
-Pick up an empty manilla envelope on your way out to be used to submit work for weeks 3 and 4 when it is completed.  We will announce the date to submit those assignments at a later time.

*If your child has been submitting their work to teachers electronically, they DO NOT need to turn in the paper copies as well.

Young Scholars After School Remote Learning begins on Monday, April 20.  This program will operate during the regularly scheduled after school hours on Monday-Thursday from 3:00-6:00.  If you are interested in having your child receive extra help from an after school tutor over the phone or through Zoom meetings, please contact the school to sign up.  Space is still available.  Please note that this program requires that we make contact with each student every day.

Free meals (lunch and a packaged breakfast) continue to be available at the school each day from 10:00-1:00.

While the school building is closed to visitors, we still operate regular office hours Monday-Friday from 8:00am-3:30pm.  Contact the school if you have any questions or needs.

Please know that we miss seeing our students and hope you and your family are staying well during this challenging time.  Let us know how we can help.
