MAP testing in Reading and Math will take place beginning this week. These assessments are taken three times per year and allow us to know where students are performing in regards to grade level standards. Please encourage your child to do his/her best on these tests.
AIG students in 4th and 5th grades will attend Camp Innovate at Forrest Hunt Elementary during the regular school day from July 24 - 27. They will leave campus at 8:15 each day and return by 2:20.
If you have not already done so, please turn in any of the beginning of the year paperwork so that we have updated contact information on your child.
If you are interested in having your child take his/her iPad home, you must return the signed form along with the insurance deposit. The insurance cost is $10 per semester ($20 per year). Remember that iPad chargers will not be sent home. You must purchase an Apple iPad style charger to use at home. iPads must be returned fully charged to school each day.
Looking ahead, Picture Day is scheduled for NEXT Friday, August 4. Students will be allowed to wear an outfit other than their school uniform on Picture Day.
Mr. Richardson and Mr. Snyder have been reassigned to be the principal and assistant principal at East Rutherford Middle School beginning August 1. Natalie Brown, principal at Cliffside Elementary, has been assigned as principal of Forest City - Dunbar. Emily Shytle will be the new FCD assistant principal. You may remember Mrs. Shytle as Emily Hutchins who was a teacher and assistant principal intern at FCD.
