There will be NO School on Monday, April 10 in honor of the Easter Holiday. While the rest of the Rutherford County Schools has spring break this week, Forest City-Dunbar students will have regular school days Tuesday-Friday this week.
Third graders will go on a field trip to the Charlotte Motor Speedway on Tuesday, April 11. The bus will leave promptly at 8:30, so be sure your child is on time for school. Please be sure your child wears their black FC-Dunbar Foxes shirt to this field trip.
There will be NO Young Scholars after school program on Thursday, April 13.
As you plan your calendar for the last quarter of this school year, please keep in mind that the last day for school for this school year for students at Forest City - Dunbar will be Friday, June 9. This is later than the final day for students on the regular Rutherford County Schools calendar.
Kindergarten Registration for the 2023-24 school year is now open. If your child turns 5 by August 30, 2023, he/she is eligible to start kindergarten next school year. Stop by the school during regular school hours to pick up a Kindergarten Registration packet. Please spread the word to anyone you know with a child who is eligible to start kindergarten next year. Kindergarten Orientation is scheduled for April 27 from 4:00-6:00 at Forest City - Dunbar.
