Spring Intersession Break starts tomorrow. There will be no regular school for students from Monday, March 14 through Friday, March 31. Students will return to begin the final 9 week grading period on Monday, April 3.
As you plan your calendar for the last quarter of this school year, please keep in mind that the last day for school for this school year for students at Forest City - Dunbar will be Friday, June 9. This is later than the final day for students on the regular Rutherford County Schools calendar.
The Young Scholars Spring Intersession program will operate from Tuesday, March 14 - Friday, March 24 from 8:30-12:30 each day, including Fridays. Students may be dropped off no earlier than 8:00 am each day. If an enrollment form for the intersession program was submitted for your child, they are allowed to come starting this Tuesday. If you have not turned in a form and would still like for your child to attend, please contact the school tomorrow. If you indicated on the form that you would like bus transportation for your child, someone from the Young Scholars program will contact you on Monday to let you know the bus pick-up and drop-off times.
Kindergarten Registration for the 2023-24 school year is now open. If your child turns 5 by August 30, 2023, he/she is eligible to start kindergarten next school year. Stop by the school during regular school hours to pick up a Kindergarten Registration packet. Please spread the word to anyone you know with a child who is eligible to start kindergarten next year. Kindergarten Orientation is scheduled for April 27 from 4:00-6:00 at Forest City - Dunbar.
The school office will be open from 8:00-3:30 this week.
